Swaddle blankets for older/bigger babies
« on: August 24, 2005, 18:47:47 pm »
Does anyone have good recommendations for swaddle blankets for a 4 mo. old and older?? My DS still needs to be swaddled with one hand out.  I have the SwaddleMe blankets and just got the large size but they are too big and he's outgrown the smaller size.   :?  I need something to help him get through the jolts.   Anyone have ideas?  I know that some have mentioned the Miracle Blanket?  Does that work for bigger babies too?

Thanks for your help.

I used a twin size bedsheet cut in half. It worked great for the Aussie swaddle (directions are at the top of this forum) for several months.

I have the Miracle Blanket but there is only one size.
My DS will be 4 mo next 3rd august and it is a bit tight for him on the feet pocket (my lo is 7 kgs weight and 60 cms high), and besides the instructions of use say it's to be used with babies under 4 mo, but I might say I'll keep on using it because my baby's problem is not feet movement but arms' so when the pocket got too small I won't put his legs on it and will keep on swaddling him with the rest.

The miracle blanket arrived on my doorstep and we used it once before realizing he was too big for it at 10 weeks old.  He is 62cm long and does not fit into the foot pocket.

Anyone want a miracle blanket or two?

I might try the twin sheet thing.
