Trouble going to sleep
« on: August 28, 2005, 18:02:05 pm »
My baby is seven weeks old. I try to get him used to going to sleep at 8:00 PM so he does wake up at night (except for food). However, it seems by 8:00 PM he's is too tired to sleep. He cries uncontrolably, and even if he goes to sleep in my arms he wakes up screeming the moment I put him in his bed. He does that for over an hour until he finally goes to sleep.

Hope you can help me,

Dana

If he seems like he's too tired to go to sleep, chances are, he is! What are his days like? How long is he awake at a time? What do his naps look like? What time is he "up for the day" in the mornings?

If he hasn't gone down for the night yet (I don't know where you are located and what time it is there), put him down when he is tired. Just start there and we can help you with the rest.  We'll do our best to help with any information you can give us!
