How long does it take to give your lo a bottle
« on: August 30, 2005, 11:06:35 am »
My lo (10weeks) normally (from when I put the bottle in her mouth to her being completely full) takes 10-15 mins. Is this normal?

I have switched back to a slow flow teat from a medium flow but it doesn't slow her up.   :?

My mum said that I used to do that as well and my LO takes like 20 to 30 mins. Have you tried to offer more? If they take more they are still hungry, if not, well, I would imagine you have yourself one efficient eater on your hands. Well done. I WISH harvie would take 10 to 15 mins!!! I have to fight with him to take his normal 160mls in 30 mins...

My Lo just gulps it down always has she is on a thicker formula so we had to use a fast flow teat, suppose it takes about 10 mins normally, quicker than that for her first one of the day!!

I glad I'm not the only one.  I do offer her more, but she shakes her head and if I force it she crys. So I don't do that.

10-15 min is perfect! don't worry about it and let it flow however she is comfortable.  i have seen babies take 200ml in 5-10 min at 5 mo.
