LOVE the Aussie Swaddle
« on: September 10, 2005, 16:24:27 pm »
Just had to say how glad I am I found the link above about the Aussie Swaddle technique! Jack is almost 4 months old and still is swaddle to sleep - but what we have been finding is that he likes to have arms up, not at sides.  With the old swaddle, this was a problem as he kept hitting himself in the face but no matter how tightly we swaddled him with arms down, he managed to get them out! Tried new swaddle for morning nap and instead of his usual 45 minutes, he slept 2 hours!! YIPPEE!!

Me too!!! It was the key to getting my DS to fall asleep on his own.  He still fights it, but it is so much better than the traditional straight jacket style. For anyone interested, I also added notes to the pictures on the Aussie Swaddle forum that worked for me.  (The file is too big to post, but if anyone is interested, send me a personal mail with your email address)
