11 month old night wakings
« on: October 03, 2005, 20:01:27 pm »
My ds is 11 months next week and has been waking up to 4 times per night.  NOrmally it doesn't take much settling but he seems uncomfortable some of the time.  We have been having problems with consitpation and gas and can't seem to figure it out.  Prune juice  hasn't been helping lately and I have been avoiding the cheese, yogurt, etc.  We even used a infant glycerine supository the other night and he did have a bowl movement only to wake up uncomfortable, gassy and straining again in the wee hours of the morning.  Any ideas?

Thanks - A

Is he taking plenty of fluid in the day? I would increase the liquid part of his diet & offer plenty of fruits.
If you really think the waking is diet/constipation related, I suggest seeing your Dr for advice.
