When Can I Ditch the Cereal?
« on: November 13, 2005, 00:51:48 am »
DS is 11 mos, and is a great eater.  He eats a yogurt with bites of sandwich and some fruit for lunch, veggies and chicken or rice for dinner, and cheerios all day long.  But he is really starting to dislike his breakfast cereal.  At what point can we stop the cereal?  I want to make sure he gets enough iron, but I don't want to force cereal on him if he doesn't need it.  Thanks!

I don't recall offering baby cereal that long...but I would think if you're offering a really well balanced diet then he's getting all that he needs.  What about if you switch him to a regular cereal which is likely fortified with iron anyway?
