When to move from one solid to two solids per day??
« on: November 28, 2005, 18:57:19 pm »
I have a 6 month old and she is getting oatmeal and fruit in the am and 4 6 oz bottles. she is waking up early very hungry and ploishing off every bottle. should I give her lunch now? some fruit possibly in the afternoon between bottles? she has been having solids for about a month now. she is eating 2 tbsp's of oatmeal in the am with 1/2-1 jar of fruit. I think she may be at her 6 month growth spurt...

It's really up to you (and her!) when you add more solid meals. If she seems hungry enough, is doing well with solids, and you can fit it into her routine, you can certainly add in the next meal. Just be sure to keep an eye on her formula intake so that remains her main source of nutrition. It sounds like she's doing great! :D
