i was wondering if white noise really worked in helping babies go back to sleep. i was searching the net and it said there was white and pink noise... i've never heard of pink noise, so thought i'd post this.... and if they do work, r there any special routines for them????

i've never heard of pink noise either...  :?

but i've used white noise with both kids, and it really seemed to help.  jaina liked soft classical music, and gradually grew out of it around a year old.  luke likes the fan/vaporizor/radio static type sound.  shows no signs of slowing either.

i just make it part of the wind-down:  go in, turn on nightlight, turn on white noise, etc. ...

pink noise is v similar to white noise but with some frequncies removed that can irritate the baby - see http://www.babysooth.com - that is a pink noise cd - worked a treat for my dd!!
