General Sleep

I tried PU/PD with my 8 month old daughter.  After the 5th time she smiled, clapped her hands and started playing for 2 hours.  I just got her to the point where she doesn't need food when she wakes up.  However, I need to dance with her to get her to sleep.  She now wakes up every hour or so.  At the moment we are on vacation and need to share a bed with her.  Can I try to get her to sleep with the PU/PD method even though she's not in a crib?  (We must stay with her to make sure she doesn't fall off the bed).  Or is it advisable to wait until January when we get home.  The up every hour thing that just started this week is killing me! - Marica's Mom

you could go either way.  since you're on vacation, i'd pick whatever was easiest in the short-term.

pu/pd definitely works, and for specifics you can read the sleep interview (at the top of this forum) and there are lots of tips & advice in the pu/pd forum.
