waking up all night long?????
« on: January 04, 2006, 15:02:53 pm »
My 7 month old has had a bug for the past few days. Fever of 100-101 and just unfomfortable. she has been night waking through most of it which is understandable. Yesterday her fever got much better and SHE WAS ACTING MORE HERSELF. THE PAST 2 Nights she has been tossing ang and turning and crying almost in her sleep. She did this until 3 am at which time I gave her water diluted with some juice. she took about 16 oz of formula yesterday which is less that normal for her. why is she doing this? do you think she still has her bug or she is dehydrated? she naps fine. Dr. saw her already and he said just a bug. she has had it since Saturday. what do I do??????

Just to add. she falls asleep unassisted and usually sleeps 7-7. when I feed her lately she is not so interested. probably due to her bug.

when she is getting up at night her body is jerking.

waking up all night long?????

Hi there. I don't really have a concrete answer for you but my first thought with her having a fever is that she is thirsty at night and therefore waking up. When Molly is teething at night (which seems never ending and still NO TEETH yet!!) she often wakes up and her cheeks are just burning hot. I will give her water which she gulps down like she is dying of thirst, then will go right back to sleep. She often does this a few times in the night, all times drinking like there is no tomorrow!!
Just my thoughts, hope you find a solution!!

So it was because she was so sleep deprived from being sick. I read in another sleep book I have is when they are sleep deprived from a previous illinus they can toss and turn and have jolts in their limbs because their body has a harder time setteling. I  her through it and she cried with me there for 25 min and slept through. finally!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! thanks for the help
