dream feed disaster
« on: January 05, 2006, 14:47:45 pm »
I have always loved the idea of the dream feed but have been scared to try it in fear of waking the LO.  But last nite I had a hard time falling asleep and at 12:30, I was up, panicked becuz i hadn't slept yet and fearing dd would be up within an hour to eat. So I figured, hey why not try the dream feed....

Well,  I would like to know how all u dreamfeeders get your LOs to suck on the bottle in their sleep?!  took me five minutes to get the nipple in her lips and then th milk was just slowly dribbling down her chin, with one suck every 2-3 minutes....  the she started to stretch and i got nervous she would wake so i gave up!!

(PS she slept till 3am from 10pm... :P )

How do u guys do it?  Am I just a moron?  Has anyone else feared the DF?

LOL   Sheri, you are certainly NOT a moron!!
We too had difficulty at first trying the DF. Eventually (I think after about 3 nights of trying) Molly seemed to "get it" and took to it wonderfully.
Just keep trying, it'll catch on!!

Hi just put your finger on the babys chin with a little pressure after a few second the babs should open his/her mouth and you try pop the bottle in, it would be easier if you had  an extra arm! After a few nights the babs should open his mouth when you pick him up..
Best of luck with it
