Ideas for healthy b-day treat
« on: January 05, 2006, 20:55:22 pm »
DD will be one soon and I want to send a treat with her to her in-home day care. The kids are: 1, 1.5, 2, and 4. I would like to send something healthy, yet fun! Any ideas? The only thing I could think of was jello jigglers, but I don't know if DD (she's the one year old  ) can even eat these without some choking.

Deborah and Kimberly-
Thanks for the ideas! They both sound great. I will look up the recipes on the net.

Hey Christine i just got a book out of the library - Healthy Baby and Toddler foods by Amanda Grant-  she has some great recipes (have seen her other books)

anyway - there is a recipe for spiced apple cake that seems yummy and fine for a range of lo ages and serves 10+ kids.  let me know if you want the recipe and i will ttype it out for you. i might make it for liv's birthday party ...
