I have been putting together a balanced meal (in a divided plate with lid) and offering it at breakfast, he nibbles, I put the lid on & pop it in the fridge, offer it again at lunch, he nibbles and again at dinner as well as whatever we are eating for dinner...and he seems ok with that, then I toss whatever is left after dinner.
What are a couple examples of what you put in your divided lid plate?
It varies, but a few examples would be in the 3 sections...
1) blueberries, banana, apple, cherries, etc
2) scrabbled eggs, hot dog, peanut butter sandwich, etc
3) snap peas, broccoli or carrots, etc
I try to put a veggie in one section, a fruit in the other and a protein in the third...if he finishes one section and it's something I feel he could use more of in his diet, I'll refill it, but otherwise I don't in hopes he'll get some sort of balanced something over the course of the day.
I also offer a yogurt drink, watered down juice & milk throughout the day...yogurt drink typically at breakfast, watered down juice during the day (I make up 2 sippy cups for the day...if he finishes those, I just add water to them) and a milk bottle at bedtime (nap & night)
He gets way too many liquids, but I'm not sure how to limit it except to continue watering it down until he's getting almost all water...
