Is 45 mins all he needs?
« on: January 12, 2006, 13:15:10 pm »
My 4 month old DS only naps for 45 mins and I can't get the wake to sleep to work.  He's not upset when he wakes, and he doesn't jerk awake.  I can see him starting to stir after 30-35 mins so I gently pat but he just rolls his head towards me and gives me the biggest grin.  He just doesn't want to be asleep.  Am I fighting a losing battle?

He's not grumpy during the day and night time sleep was fine until we hit a growth spurt and now he's feeding twice each night.

What do you think?

while longer naps are good, some babies just don't to sleep that much. My LO does the same thing. As long as your LO is not overtired and cranky I think your ok.
