she wants her blanket is it ok at 8 months

my 8 month old comforts herself with her blanket, but I am afraid to leave it in there through the night. she looks for it when she tries to put herself back to sleep and I think she wants it. what age can you leave it in there?

Both of my lo's have blankets, and I left them both have them from about 4 mos. on.  My dd is now 4.5 mos and she loves hers.  It may depend on the size and weight though.  My kids both have very small lightweight blankets.
