« on: January 25, 2006, 09:22:59 am »
Hi there!

Need some ideas for my lo breakfast please ladies!!
He will eat bread/toast, crumpets, cheerios, yogurt and banana, but does not like baby cereal, ready brek or weetabix.
Just wondering what every else is doing?!

Thankyou

my dd loves ready break so i'm thinking about trying to get her to eat other breakfast things too, one thing she has loved was natural yogurt with mashed banana and a drop of maple syrup. have you tired pancakes? my dd loves them, you can do them the night before and keep them in the fridge and just pop them in the microwave for a few seconds, you could do them plain or put some pureed or mashed fruit into the batter. what about trying a bit of a wheetabix mixed with yogurt, you could soak it in milk so its soft (over night in the fridge) then mix with yoghurt in the morning, i suppose you could do this with cheerios too, desiccated coconut with wheetabix overnight in milk in the fridge is nice too, just add yoghurt since your lo likes it as it will keep some of the same flavour.
just some ideas...hth

We are kinda boring but I have a rotating breakfast menu.

Eggy bread (French toast made with egg yolks & milk)
Scrambled egg yolk
cheese (cut into 1/4 inch strips about 1.5 inch long)
toast (crust off and cut in half)
pears (must be soft, cut into small cubes)
banana (cut in half and then half again lengthwise OR into small pieces)
apple (use a veggie peeler and peel them off into strips to prevent choking)
other fruits such as canteloupe, honeydew, mangos, papaya, etc. (I just make sure it is soft)
yogurt (flavoured kind)
some sort of baby cereal

HTH... This is what Arwyn eats and she is purely a finger foods baby.
