Bottles in crib at night?
« on: January 26, 2006, 03:57:39 am »
Hi everyone :D

I don't have a toddler :P, but a friend of mine who does have a one year old with 6 months asked me to ask you, if it was ok to leave two bottles in the crib at night (one with water and 8oz, and the other with milk with 7oz). so.. what do you think?

She could try a sippy cup of water.Wouldn't leave milk as after an hour, the bacteria affects the milk.
I'm being thick, when you said she has a 1 year old and 6months,does that mean she has 2 children or
1 of one year and six months old?Sorry

Hmm...I replied last night but it didn't go through...  ???
I think the bottle of water is fine, just not the milk.  If she's having a hard time taking away the milk one..I would slowly start diluting it until it becomes 100% water.

Thank you guys for amswering, she has only one little girl who is a year and six months.
i'll tell her to dilute the milk then (i think she can't get rid of the bottle though, i'm going to ask her today)

What if she doesn't leave anything at all? My guess is that 23 oz of fluid is quite much for a night's cycle, does she leave in a hot weather? that would be one explanation...

Nop, no milk for lo to suck at night. Bad for teeth and molars are out or popping during that age, so it is a bad time to have the bacteria around. Why was she concerned about it? is her lo asking for both of them or she was thinking about leaving them just in case? diluting milk until it's plain water is a good tip, also just offering water for night time, if she leaves the option (i.e . water and milk) lo will go for the milk, no doubts!!!!!!!!!

She was asking because her LO won-t drink unless is from a bottle, i told her yesterday she should try from a sippy cup and that she deffinetly shouldn-t leave milk  in the crib.
