night waking 7 weeks old
« on: February 09, 2006, 14:16:17 pm »
hi
i have a 7 week old - he is on a very good routine - goes to bed at 06:30 pm - dream feed at 11:00 - he used to sleep thru until 06:00 am eat and go back to sleep until 07:30.
now he wakes every night at around 230 or 300 am - not for food!!! - and then @ 445 am takes 2 ounces and goes back to sleep!
help what do i do ? the wake up to go to sleep doesn't work? and what about that small feed at around 0400 - 0500 am? my baby eats very well during the day and also at the dream feed! should i not offer any food at the 2nd waking up? how do i stop the first one? both? thank you

There is a growth spurt around 6 weeks, so that may be what it is, at that age I would offer food at all wakings, as it is too hard to rule out anything else in a baby under 3months old.
