I have just recently started EASY and am having great success. But I think I'm going in too soon at night to check on him and put him back to sleep. I think this because last night I left him for about five minutes crying and moving around... It turned out he put himself back to sleep! This is the first time this has happened and I was so happy! But I was wondering how long I should actually let him go before I go in. I don't want him to think that I'm abandoning him!

Thanks ::)

Hi there
    Thats always a difficult one!! I would say it depends on the cry  -if it's intermittent and not full blown - worth waiting to see if they settle - if its full on screaming  - don't wait that long. Other options - can you get in the room without being seen? thats what I always used to try and do with my DD so I could see if she was trying to settle herself or actually needed my help!
Murphys law states you always pick the wrong option!!  Stick with it!!
