I am going to jump into this discussion as well as my DD has been sleeping until 7/7.30am since 3 months old but over the last week have found she has been waking earlier ir went to 6.45am ro 6.30am to this morning 6.15am  >:(
Her awake time has been 2.5hrs, 3hrs then 3.5hrs before bed with 12hrs night sleep and 3-3.5hrs of day sleep.
So from reading the advice on here i beleive to overcome this early waking i need to extend her morning awake time to 3hrs and perhaps she is only needing 11.5hrs of night sleep.
I don't have any of the books which one is the best one with sample schedules?

I have baby whisiperer solves all your problems, but I can't seem to find much regarding easy for 9 months either.  Can you tell me if this is the book you are referring to?  If so I definitely need to read over it again. =P

This is in BW solves all your problems on page 39.

I will have a look at the toddlers book, as soon as DD is awake, as this is holding down the lid on her CD player for her white noise  :-[

Hello! Hope it's ok that i jump in!  My son had been doing the same(he is now 7 mths)...use to wake at 7:30....now waking at 6:00!! This has slowly happened over the course of a month...he takes two good naps a day usually around1.5-2hours...and has awake time of 3 hours between naps. Sould i try extending his morning nap?? it's usually at 9.30 and by that time he is so ready for it

Sorry girls - posting problems again.  If you want to PM me that's fine, I can answer those even when the board chucks me off.

I was talking about the solves all your problems book which is upstairs at the moment so I will get it when DS wakes up from his sleep.  But I'm pretty sure there is a schedule in there that moves away from 4 hour towards 3 meals a day with milk at either end.  I think its a harder transition than from 3 hour to 4 hour personally.  And like I said, we had to do it from scratch once I worked out what the problem actually was!

I think if I were doing it over, I would write down the before schedule and then the after schedule and see where I could gradually change things.  So I think I would try moving naps later at the same time as dropping the catnap.  I think I would have given a milk drink with tea so that I didn't have to start that when the evening bottle went.  This is all with the wise knowledge of hindsight of course!  Who knows whether it would have worked!

I'll post back later when I've got the book in front of me.
