My dd likes the Muller Vitality drinkable yoghurts which contain pre/pro-biotics.  She also eats rice crispies multi-grain which also contains them.  Just watch some of the products as they do have age limits on them. Alternatively, you could ask in a health food shop as you may be able to get the probiotics in tablet/liquid form as well.

You can get drinkable yogurts, or kefir too, although kefir you'd probably only find at a health food store. The problem with drinkable yogurts is that most of them also contain sugar, and since probiotics benefit the gut by re-balancing the "good" bacteria with the yeast that live there naturally, eating sugar which ultimately feeds the yeast in the guts kind of defeats the purpose. :(

Many health food stores also sell powders you can mix with foods or drinks for babies; these are usually refrigerated, BTW. I disabled my signatures so I could load pages faster, so I don't know how old your little one is, but for younger pre-yogurt ages the powder might be the easiest option.

The probiotic bacteria are what make yogurt from plain old milk, so any yogurt with "active cultures" will have some probiotics in it. The ones you can buy in jars, though - the powders or capsules or liquids - have MANY MANY times the probiotics, like BILLIONS of organisms, as opposed to thousands, of yogurt.

I actually decided to buy some Yo Baby yogurt without checking the amount of sugar on the label.  Needless to say I didn't bother giving it to ds and won't be buying it again.  Like Deb, I was going to suggest regular yogurt or kefir, which is made of whole milk and is supposed to be very good for you!

For my LO I use natural organic bio (pro-biotic) yoghurt with no added sugar & mix it with fresh fruit....DD's favourite is Banana and yoghurt.
