12 mo. sudden sleep problems
« on: March 06, 2006, 20:10:51 pm »
Hi. My DD is 12 mo old and has been a great sleeper since Jan. with the help of PU/PD....until recently!  All of the sudden she has been waking up around midnight SCREAMING and can't seem to put herself back to sleep. My DH has been going in to put her back down and usually ends up picking her up.  She only wakes about once every 3 or so days but it is very strange because her naps and night routines are so good. We put her in her crib awake and she puts herself to sleep for both naps and bedtime. She takes 2 naps per day- each about an hour to 1.5 hours and goes to bed around 7-7:30.  Please help! There have been no new milestones- no new teeth, has been walking for 3 months, no illness,etc...... Thanks for any advice!!  ???

My DD is 13 months and going through the same thing. She wakes up after being asleep for 3 hours and starts sreaming. Screaming can last anywhere from an hour to an hour and 1/2. She is the same...good naps...good going down for the night and then she wakes screaming. I need help too. Someone out there please advise.
