NEW to the block/ need help on early wake up????
« on: March 07, 2006, 11:43:47 am »
I have a 3 month old son that has been on easy for 5 days now and he is doing pretty well. We are working on nights and naps. This morning he woke up early around 6 and first had gas so I helped him through it. Now he is playing in his crib and he is fine. But his wake up time is 7. I am leaving him right now. But when I feed him at 7, he will probably be tired quickly since he is playing in his crib now. Should I keep him up till his next nap. .......... I just went in his room cause he sounded like he needed me. I picked him up and he went to sleep in my arms. I put him down after two minutes and he did not move. Also he goes down fine at night but struggles with his naps. Need Advice please thanks ???

btw definately put lo to sleep when he is tired - you will just have worse sleep if not - day and night.

thanks for the advice

Right now he is in a growth spurt but for the most part this is how it goes

wake 6:30/ 7am
E 7am
A 7:30-8:15
S 8:45- 9:30
A 9:30-10 We have some activity before he eats because he wakes happy

E 10- 10:30
A- 10:30-11
S- 11- 11:45{ try WTS/ shh- pat to extend him to 1}because he wakes cranky at the 45 minute mark

E 1- 1:30
A 1:30- 2:15
S 2:45- 3:30
A 3:30-4

E- 4- 4:30 cluster feed
A 4:30- 5:00
S- 5:15- 6

E 6- 6:30 cluster feed
A 6:30- 7:30 bedtime{ trying to get a bedtime rountine going}

Lately I have been putting him to bed at 6:30 because he fights his catnap and make sure I keep him awake some before he goes to bed

Please let me know if I should tweak this schedule? I have been going back and forth

Thanks
