Switching to cow's milk

My son will be one year old in two weeks and I was planning to start him on cow's milk. He still usually has 4 bottles a day (sometimes 3) of formula. He's only taking a little water out of a sippy. My plan was to switch one bottle a week to cow's milk. Today I tried the mid-afternoon bottle with cow's milk as that seemed the least important but he had a few sips and rejected it. He then whimpered around me until I gave him some formula. Any tips on how to convert him? Thanks

When you give him formula in the bottle is it warmed up? If so, you may want to warm the cow's milk up too. I would also start giving him cold cow's milk in a sippy or straw cup with his meals to get him used it that. HTH

Thanks, I'll try the sippy idea. I stopped heating his formula a couple of weeks ago which he seemed fine with. Only thing is, he seems to see a sippy cup as a toy...!
