HOW MANY TIMES DOES YOUR BABY WAKE IN THE NIGHT ASKING FOR BREAST?

GIRLS, YOU'RE WONDERFUL!
YOU'RE ALL SO FAR AWAY BUT YOU ARE THE ONES SO CLOSE TO ME BECAUSE YOU UNDERSTAND HOW I FEEL.

I SPENT THESE DAYS READING THIS FORUM, I READ FOR THE FIFTH TIME TRACY'S BOOK, I TRIED TO DO MY BEST. BUT FIRST OF ALL I TALK A LITTLE WITH MY PARENTS.I NEEDED TO RELAX.I WAS SO TIRED. THEY SAID I DON'T HAVE TO BE SO UPSET BECAUSE BABY CAN FEEL IT. THEY SAY:IF YOU DON'T SUCCED TODAY, YOU WILL TOMORROW.

NOW MY LITTLE BOY HAS NAP IN THE MORNING SLEEPING ALMOST BY HIMSELF IN HIS BED.SOMETIMES I PUT HIM DOWN AWAKE, SOMETIMES ALMOST SLEEPING, ANYWAY HE'S VERY RELAXED. THEN IN THE EVENING IS MORE DIFFICOULT, BU IF I TAKE HIM ON TIME, WE CAN RELAX TOGETHER AND LISTEN SOME MUSIC THEN HE FALLS ASLEEP.
IN THE NIGHT I DECIDED TO LET HIM AWAKE UNTILL HE SHOWS ME HE WANNA SLEEP.I DON'T FORCE HIM ANYMORE.IF HE DOESN'T WANT TO SLEEP WE PLAY A LITTLE WITH TOYS, OR I HOLD HIM WHILE I DO SOMETHING FOR TOMORROW AND I EXPLAIN HIM WHAT I AM DOING( MAKE CAMOMILE FOR THE NIGHT, THE TABLE FOR BREAKFAST FOR DADDY....)
IN THE NIGHT I LET HIM SLEEP IN HIS BED AS LONG AS I CAN. WHEN HE WAKES FOR BREASTF I TRY NOT FALL ASLEEP THEN I REPUT HIM IN HIS BED.SOMETIMES I FALL ASLEEP WITH HIM, SO HE SLEEP IN BED WITH US.WHEN I WAKE UP IN THE MORNING I SEE HIM BESIDE ME AND I REALIZE I FELT ASLEEP BUT I DON'T REMEMBER. BUT I DON'T GET ANGRY ANYMORE.I THINK IT WILL BE BETTER NEXT NIGHT.
I'M TRYING TO TAKE IT JUST EASY!

IT'S 3 NIGHT BABY FALLS ASLEEP UNTILL 10PM.FOR ME IT'S GREAT.I'M HAPPY.

SO HAPPY AT LEAST I'M GOING TO SLEEP WITH DADDY AFTER A LONG TIME HE WENT TO SLEEP AND I WAS ALWAYS BF OR ROCKING OR DOING SOMETHING TO MAKE BABY SLEEP.

I remember feeling like that when I first read the book and then found this site.  It starts to fall into place! 

I am so happy for you and your hubby    .  And of course your little one.

If you fall asleep in bed, that's ok.  It happens to most breastfeeding moms.  Just as long as you try not to make it a habbit, but it sounds like you are working so VERY VERY hard! 

And your parents are right.  Relax!!!!  Enjoy all the progress you have made and your little one.

I'M ALSO THINKIN ABOUT WAITING 4 HOURS BETWEEN FEEDS, NOW I WAIT 3 BUT AS STACY SUGGESTED MAYBE I CAN MAKE SOMETHING MORE,ESPECIALLY FOR THOSE PAIN AND COLICS.MAYBE THEY CAME BECAUSE HE EATS TOO OFTEN.I'M GONNA TRY IN THESE DAYS.

i think you are right, if he eats to often it will give him pains but if he is eating for comfort too he doesn't understand.  it is easy for us mums to think the bby will decide not to eat if he doesn't need to, but babies don't do that. we need to decide for them if they are really hungry or just want love.

Really pleased you are making progress, and so much too.  Well done to you.
I am encouraged by your success and also really appreciate the support everyone gives in their posts.
Keep going and well done again.
BTW in my last post I said some women lie.  I didn't want this to sound horrible I was just pointing out that there are some women who seem to say what they wish was happening and not the truth.  It makes me so angry to think of this because we are all trying so hard to do the best we can, and none of us need the kick in the teeth such behaviour leads to.  Really didn't want to sound like I believe all mums with sleeping babies are making it up!

My lily is 7 months old and a "good night" is 2 feeds a night.  She wakes for the day ay 6 amafter a 8.30pm bedtime.  Somenights she may wake every couple of hours.  But you know, i really really dont mind!!!  I get the usual  "is he sleeping through yet?" and some suggestions on how to get her to sleep the night when i tell them no.
But she is still a wee baby, my baby, and i dont want her to go through such stress, when it is so easy for both of us to lie down and feed. And it wont last forever...this too shall pass.

((((HUGS)))) You are doing a great job!  I agree with those that have said don't listen to what others say about how well their babies sleep!  My son is 4.5 months old and one good friend who has an angel baby that is formula fed (mine is breast fed) told me how he'd been sleeping through the night at about 3 months and I felt horrible!  Then, she let is slip a few weeks ago that he isn't when she was talking about watching a show she missed on TV at 2am while she was feeding the baby.  Busted!  Another friend's lo "sleeps through the night" - but that means she stays up until 11pm and wakes up at 6am!  If I put my lo down at 11, he'd sleep til then, too!  Instead, he goes to bed at a reasonable hour (7) and wakes up first at 1 and then at 5 for feeding still plus usually at least one other wake when he isn't hungry.  Just keep at it!  We started easy at 2 months and things are just starting to go smoothly now!  It took a lot of hard work and patience but it is so worth it in the end!
