Ready made vs Powdered
« on: April 29, 2006, 12:04:27 pm »
We usually use powdered formula, but we had a ready made tin last night that J had when we had to go to Andrew's swimming class.

Last night I got up to feed him and he pooped the WORST smelling poop!

Anyone else notice a difference between the two?

Absolutely!!!

I used ready made when Will was first born then moved to using powdered. The ready made here in the UK tends to be far more concentrated than the powdered.
Will had colic when he was tiny and it was always worse when I used ready made - particularly the stuff for hungrier babies.

Hmmm, this makes sense....J isn't colicky or refluxy but he seemed to have more gas during his middle of night feed (the one with the bad poop).

Thanks so much!

Sure sounds like he was suffering from the richness of the readymade!

Hope he is better today xxxx
