9 months old - standing up during the night - what to do?
« on: April 30, 2006, 13:08:06 pm »
Could someone give me some advice: my 9 month-old son started to wake up during the night, he does not cry, only stands up and does not sleep. I tried to wait to see if he would lay down, but it takes almost half an hour. He sits and stands up again! Help!

Hmmm...This to me sounds a little puzzling.Just out of curiosity, how do you know he's standing up if he's not crying or making any other noise? Is he in your room? If he's jabbering and in the mood to play, I would wonder whether or not he's getting too much sleep during the day, but that's just me. My LO stands up a lot (9and a half months) right when I lay him down and I keep laying him down every time he stands up (mostly the pd of pu/pd). This is exhausting and it takes forever sometimes. According to the BW, it should take about 20 minutes. It usually takes me half an hour or so. Hope this helps!
