Ok, this time it's official, we are done

It was a wonderful 9 months, but with only 2 feeds a day and my pregnancy, my supply was the pits.  I know I could have worked to keep it up, but I didn't have it in me. 

I didn't even get engorged and only needed ds to nurse on day 2 from my left breast to help relieve me.  It has been about 5 days.  It's funny how you miss it, it's not at all in the way I anticipated or prepared for. 

I tried to wean him 2 other times and I just couldn't.  I knew it was our time though.  He's happily sucking the bottle and lets me cuddle and kiss him so I still get that.

Thank you everyone for your support in the past 9 months!!!!

I will be back looking for help when dc #2 arrives in December.  What a blessing being a nursing mom is.  I am so proud.

Congratulations for bfing the 9 months you did, it inspires the rest of us to continue and we're all proud of you (not to mention, thankful for the advice you give us!). Best wishes for you and your future lo and that your pregnancy goes smooth and that you stay well rested.

{{{{{{{{{{{{HUGS}}}}}}}}}}}}} jodie - i am sure there were alot of mixed emotions with that decision...i am glad it wasn't as bad as you thought and that o is giving you a happy alternative with the cuddling!

gives me hope for when i decide to wean alecks - i guess we all think and anticipate it to be harder than what it probably is...

Congratulations and hugs. Your boobs are just yours for a few short months now! Vodka and lingerie (do Victoria Secret(?) have a maternity line?? ;))

I always thought it was funny when I was over there that Victoria's Secret pretended to be British on their advertising - do they still do that?
