« on: May 17, 2006, 14:21:47 pm »
I have logged in several times and it always sends me back to the home page with all the topics but the minute that I try to enter a topic site ie: easy forumn then it tells me that I am a guest and when I log in it sends me back to the home page.  GERRRRRR.  I need to post something but can't get the help I need if it doesn't allow me to post as a member.  Please help.

This sounds like your cookies and temporary internet files could do with a clear out.

To clear cookies in Internet Explorer;

Tools > Internet Options > General Tab (should already be open on this).

Click 'Delete Cookies' & 'Delete Files' (If you haven't done this for some time, it may take a while to delete). Close browser and re-open.

If you need cookie clearing instructions for other browsers please let me know.

When logging-in ensure that Minutes to stay logged in is set to 60.

Please let us know if that has solved your problem.

:)

nope still having the same problem.  I tried clearing the cookies yesterday before I posted and it wasn't working but I tried again today anyway jus tto make sure I wasn't crazy.  The funny thing is that I was able to post yesterday for some reason and didn't because I thought it might have been a website glitch and it was fixed but here I am again and it is doing the same thing.

Okay so it is the browser I was using...mozilla firefox was acting funny even after I cleared everything out of cookies and restarted the browser and even after rebooting the comp.  I will just have to remember to use explorer when I want to access BW.

Which procedure did you use to clear cookies with Firefox?  If you used the Clear Private Data option it may not have cleared the cookies depending on your options.

Also, did you just clear cookies or did you clean out the cache as well?

okay so it has been a hit and miss the past couple of days both with firefox and explorer.  I cleaned outthe chace and was able to access it with firefox but tried this morning and it is doing the same loop thing again.  I have tried resart, clearing the chace and cookies for both firfox and explorer and i am stuck not being able to access my account.  please help me figure this out so that I don't have to guess when i might be able to log in.
thanks

Are you still getting this problem.  If so, when you've cleared your cache are you closing your browser down straight away before attempting to access any other pages??
