Late Bedtime battles
« on: May 24, 2006, 12:39:45 pm »
My 6 week old is determined to stay up late.  I have been desperately trying to put my DD down between 7pm and 8pm.  We do our last feed, a bath, a book and then to bed.  She goes down for about 45mins (one sleep cycle) and is back up again.  By the time I get her back down, she is hungrey again.  She usually gets down between 10pm and 11pm which is causing her to want to sleep later in the mornings.  Does anyone have any suggestions on how to resolve this problem.  I would love to get her on an early to bed, early to rise schedule similar to my toddler.  This way, I can make the most of my free time!

Hi,

I would give it a few weeks, she is still so young.  My DD did the same thing so I just decided to roll with it and every couple weeks I moved her bedtime forward 1/2 hour until we got to 730ish around 12 weeks.
