Questions about Dream Feed - staying up.
« on: June 01, 2006, 20:07:20 pm »
Hi.

My DS is 7 weeks old. I am starting to follow the EASY routine and have almost finished the Baby Whisperer book. He's really good at being swaddled and falling asleep pretty quickly. He goes down for the night between 730 and 8 and usually does 3 hours, then 2-3 hours, then another 2. I am cluster feeding him right before his sleep at 6 & 8. I haven't done the dream feed yet because I still have some questions.

1. I know it mentions to do this between 10 and 11 but my husband and I go to bed at 9 and are asleep the latest 930! It's really hard to stay up later than that. What do you recommend? Is it possible to give him the DF at 930.
2. For how long are you supposed to do the DF?  I mean how many weeks/months, etc until you can stop?
3. I just want to make sure that when I do it, I don't unswaddle him - right?

Thanks a lot!
