Hi
I have a question about transitioning to a 3.5 hour EASY. My DD has been on EASY since a few weeks after she was born, she'll be 15 weeks tomorrow and is 11.8oz, EBF. She is ready to move from a 3 hour EASY (staying awake longer and her naps were down to 20 minutes in the afternoon). I tried going to 4 hours but she doesn't seem to be able to cope with that just yet. I wondered what others 3.5hour routines look like, as I'm struggling to know whether to keep the extra feed or drop it...keeping it feels like a cluster feed but dropping it feels like it would be a long time before DF and too soon before bedtime. Currently ours sort looks like this.
Wake E 6.30
A 7-8/8.30
S 8/8.30-10
E 10-10.30
A 10.30-12.30
S 12.30 - 1.30
E 1.30 - 2
A 2 - 3/3.30
S 3/3.30-4/4.30
E 4/4.30-4.30/5
A 4.30/5 - 5/5.30
S 5/5.30 - 5.30/6
E 6 bath and bedtime just before 7.
She is pretty Textbook - her best nap is in the morning with it getting shorter and shorter as the day progresses... this is partly the problem with a 4 hour EASY as she doesnn't nap long enough to last the extra hour between feeds (have tried wake to sleep and shh pat but it just makes her inconsolable. plus when she wakes she's pretty content). I just wondered what others did as a compromise between 3 and 4 hours?
Thanks
Fiona
