Sweating, breasfeeding, and Drysol
« on: June 08, 2006, 15:04:09 pm »
While I was pregnant I started sweating more and antipersripant wouldn't control the problem.  I new my body would go through many changes, so I just let it be.  I delvered by beautiful baby boy three and a half months ago, and I am still sweating!!!!  The pharmacist suggested a product called Drysol - has anyone used it before?  Is it safe to use while breastfeeding?  Has anyone else had this problem, and if so what did you do?

sweated like a Piggy  whilst nursing. In fact, was MUCH worse when i was nursing. I thought it would get better but it didn't. After I weaned her, it went back to normal.
Don't know about Drysol-maybe wish i did :D

I have used Drysol in the past and although this is not based on any medical reasons, I don't think I would use it when nursing.

This stuff seems to clog your pores and I just think that it may have some type of strange effect.

But the stuff does work.....  but it HURTS when you put it on and hurts for ages... I could never leave it on longer than a half hour.  But I still got results.

My armpits are stinging just thinking of the stuff......

The med just has a local effect- meaning it's not absorbed, so it should be OK will nursing. I know early I had hot flashes akin to going through menopause! Gosh my hormones were out of whack. They seemed to lessen over time.
