Owen sucks his thumb after almost every bite of cereal or pears.  Is he doing this to help swallow?  Is there something wrong?  It's kinda of cute, I just want to make sure it's not totally abnormal!  ;D  Also, will he let me know if he is full?

Here's my post about this topic from a while ago.  My lo STILL does this but finger foods have cut down on it somewhat.

my little boy does this he is 5 months and as soon as he has had a mouthful of food the thumb goes in but then he will pull it out as soon as he is ready for more food so i know he wants more food. i think its quite funny and unique.
