EASY Mixed up
« on: July 09, 2006, 21:07:11 pm »
Hi,

I am still having an issue with my DD not nursing in the day.  She seems to get in only 1 good feed. She screams at me when I try to feed her.  Her EASY routine is all mixed up because of this.  I am always trying to feed her hoping she will finally take some milk.  Our routine up until now has been great!

S 9:30

S 7pm bedtime

Dreamfeed at 10pm and 4pm feeding.

Now she wakes at 10, 1 and 4 for feeds and is up for the day at 6am.  She will no longer take her morning feed and will drink a small amount at her next feed.  Usually near the end of the day she will have a huge feed.  She has already had her 3 month growth spurt.  It seems as though she has switched her day and nighttime feeding schedule.  Because she eats all night she isn't hungry in the day.  However, I can't get her to tank up because she is refusing to eat.  How do I get out of this cycle?

Also, she is 3months, 13lbs - massive weight gain from the start, and just started rolling over.  She is usually up a few more times in the night due to the rolling.

Please HELP!!!!

Hi there!  I will certainly try to help you, but I was a little confused about some of your post.  Are you trying to feed her every 1.5 hrs?  You have the same time listed for the S and the next E:
E 8am
A
S 9:30

E 9:30
so I'm not sure what you really mean here.  Also, have you contacted a lacation specialist?  Is she bottle feeding when she refuses to nurse, or does she just skip day feeds and feed in the night?

Once I can clarify these questions, we'll do our best to help you.
