Baby won't nap
« on: July 27, 2006, 00:52:28 am »
I have a 13 week old that has no interest in taking naps.  She is a great sleeper at night.  She goes to sleep by 8 at the latest and wakes up 1 time for a feed and then wakes up for her day around 6:30 or 7:00a.m.  I have tried to put her EASY but have struggled with getting her on a 3 hr feeding schedule and getting her to take a nap.  I try to watch for sleepy signs but sometimes she just is really alert.  Other times I try to get her to take a nap she does settle down but usually wakes up when I put her in the crib or wakes up after being in the crib for only 5-10 minutes.  By the end of the day she is very tired and very fussy.  I don't know what to do to help her sleep during the day.  Please help!

Do you have a consistent wind-down routine? Darken the room? Use white noise?

If she's waking at 6:30 am you'd want to have her down for her first nap by 7:45 (or 8:15 if she is up at 7am).
