DO I INCREASE AMOUNT?
« on: August 06, 2006, 11:47:26 am »

My ds has been having solids for about 5 weeks now he is currently having about 1/3rd of a jar of food 3 times a day (i have just introduced the 3rd) at t time,
so his routine looks like this, 7am 9oz bottle
                                       8.30 porridge 1/3rd jar
                                       11am 9oz bottle
                                       12pm lunch 1/3rd jar
                                       3pm 9oz bottle
                                       4.30pm tea 1/3rd jar
                                       7pm 9oz bottle
recently after feeding he is whining and smacking his lips together as though he wants more i have introduced mini rusks for him to chew on during meal times and have started putting an extra ounce in each bottle so now he has 9oz each feed,
should i start offering some form of desert with lunch and tea? how old before i can introduce yoghurt?my son is 29weeks and weighs 23lb

As long as it doesn't interferre with his bottle intake then you can introduce more at his meal times.
As for yoghurt give it a try, i generally give my DD a yoghurt after her lunch she loves it.
Sounds like you are doing great  ;)
