Just need to be told "It's Okay"
« on: August 06, 2006, 21:09:41 pm »
My dear friends, I'm just feeling frustrated and teetering on the edge of tears, so please tell me that it's ok that ds has stopped eating solids for 4 days!!!  He may be teething, it's been so damn hot, and I think he's bored with everything now that he's crawling around everywhere!  I can get him to eat his cereal and fruit in the am, and he is drinking a ton of formula, he just freaks out when I put him in the chair and try to feed him.  I know the formula is still the most important part, but will someone just give me a hug and tell me it okay for him not to be eating?

Yup, totally fine.  All you want is a cold drink when it's really hot, right?  Same principle.  Besides, who has time to eat when there is all that crawling to do?  He'll be eating everything in sight soon enough.    ;)

****Big Hugs to you****
I know when it is hot i don't feel like eating much but drink lots. He is drinking lots which is very important when it is very hot. I know how you are feeling my DD has been on a milk strike the last few days and not eating what she usually does doe to teething.

JUST went through it!!!!   DD's age below.  She was eating the jarred mush nad all of a sudden she hated it.   It eally started about 5 weeks ago - but it was gradual - so we switched to the finger foods - and she is super happy.  She is also cruising and crawling - so the interest level in eating is blah.   Her milk intake is about 32 ounces....so I dont worry.

Try and relax - it IS hard.
