Starting EASY and solids at the same time
« on: August 16, 2006, 18:41:31 pm »
Hi
I have a baby who is five and a half months and addicted to the breast to go to sleep.  Of course both sleeping and eating have become confused and in my efforts to work out what to do I have just discovered the EASY idea.  So now I am keen to try it out but I am concerned about when because:
- I am due to start solids within the next couple of weeks and am not sure if the two new experiences together would be too much for my baby.  If so, which do I delay?
- If I wait till solids are established, then he will be into separation anxiety time and I guess introducing EASY will be even harder
- If I go for it immediately, I have a work commitment in a week and a half that means me and baby will have to stay in a strange place for a couple of nights.
Any thoughts?
Yorkshire Mum.

Hi there, I'm not sure if it is you but I think i was chatting to you earlier today. I am so sorry to disappear on you but my computer threw me offline. By the time I returned you had just left. I am so sorry to have been so rude and I am glad you found your way onto the boards. (which by the way would have been my advice  :))

Good luck

ps I think our babies may be the same age

Thanks for your advice.  Yes giving up out of desperation/exhaustion is my fear and maybe it would be more likely to happen in a caravan in the middle of the countryside.
