30-45 min Naps on my Last Wk w/Him :( Please help...
« on: August 16, 2006, 20:25:01 pm »
I'm working through the other posts on the 40 min naps but am hoping for some individual insight here.  My son has been on EASY since about 3 wks old, we did it w/my daughter too and it worked great - started her later (9 wks).  Anyway, my son starts daycare on Tuesday.  He's been great - short nap in the morning, then a long nap 2-3 hrs from 11am or 12pm - 2pm or 3pm, then a short evening nap and bed. He's not sleeping through the night yet. Oh and he's 11 weeks old.
Anyway, since maybe this past weekend or Monday, he's waking up at 45 mins almost on the dot.  Today has been awful. The last couple days I've been able mostly to shush him back to sleep for a while but today, he's barely napped! Is this just a phase or am I doomed to this forever? I'm more concerned because he starts daycare and while they're a fantastic facility, I can't expect them to hover over him shushing and patting him at 45 mins during all his naps...
Thanks for any help. I'm really having a frustrating day and my almost 2 year old is due home soon - chaos added to an already crazy situation!

I'm afraid I'm not best qualified to answer your question, hopefully someone else will, but why not get involved in this thread in the meantime? Seems like you are not the only one in this situation :)
