Hungry Baby
« on: August 18, 2006, 17:36:36 pm »
Hello, I have a 3 month old son called Lucius. He takes 7oz every 4 hours, sometimes more. But recently he's started needing top up of a few oz inbetween feeds. I've tried distracting him with various things but he just seems hungry all the time. A friend of mine had the same problem and was told by her health visitor to give her baby a couple of spoonfulls of baby rice a day. This worked for her. Everywhere i look however it says to avoid weaning before 6 months. Did anyone here have this problem or can anyone offer me any advice?

He could be going through a growth spurt. Does he have a dummy? Could he just have a need to suck? How long has this been going on?

Yes he has a dummy but it doesn't seem to help at all. It's been going on for about a month now.
