Following a conversation I had the other day, I was wondering if your experiences were the same. Do you feel that the temprament of your baby/toddler dictated their physical developement??

Ella was an Angel baby - rolled over at  months, crawled at 11.5 and walked at 16 mos. I figure she was just so happy and content where she was she didn't feel the need to explore!

Jack was grumpy/spirited - rolled over at 5 mos, crawled at 7 and walked at 10.5. I'm sure that his restlessness and general grumpiness with his surroundings 'pushed' him to get on and discover the world.

Have I just made up a pointless theory or do your experiences agree with this??

we were talking about this in the growth and development thread!  after asking me if my ds was rolling over yet (at 15 months he is not!) my cousin said "that's great!"  she has four pretty high achieving girls and she said the most laid back, easy to parent ones were slowest to hit physical milestones and her stresspot child walked at 10 months!
there may be something to this....
(BTW- ds is pretty chilled and easy to get on with!)

Katie is pretty much angel/textbook and I always feel like she does everything when she gets around to it -- walked just a week before her 15 month checkup, crawled pretty late, roller more or less on time, though she did sit up on her own early on.  I think you're on to something...

DS was a touchy/spirited baby (he's more touchy/textbook now) and he rolled over pretty much on time, crawled around 7 mo and walked around his 15 mo b-day.
