Trouble getting 8 week old to nap
« on: August 20, 2006, 21:31:47 pm »
So, we are trying the EASY method and one problem we are having is that she will get 'fussy' at the end or near end of actvity session. So we then put her for a nap.

Trouble is, with Jasmine, she does not just 'go to sleep'

if My wife calms her (she is much better at calming than me :) )   she can get her to basically be out or almost out in her arms

BUT.. when get puts her down.. WAAAAA  Jas cries!

We swaddle to calm her but we dont like to leave her swaddled beacuse she finds her thumb and soothes herself sometimes.

So... we have put her down before and let her fuss a little and she will stop and go to sleep but we feel horrible letting her cry!

also, this kind of makes the process take forever for us so it is eating into (NAP) or (SLEEP) time.

Any ideas?

Thanks!!

Also, Jasmine sleeps much better on her Belly so that's what we are doing. been that way since 2 weeks. We swaddle sometimes to calm her but then UN swaddle to put her down as I dont want her Down on her belly while swaddled.
