Confused about EASY?
« on: August 23, 2006, 17:16:43 pm »
I have been doing 3.5 hr easy, following what I learned from the Samples, and it is working well... but today my dd woke up at a different time than usual - not a problem.  Anyhow she woke at 7:30, so my EASY so far has looked like this:
E: 7:30
A: 8:00 - 9
S: 9:00 - 10:30 (woke) 1.5 hr nap

E: 11:00
A: 11:30 - 1:00
S:  Now....

Now, I know she is supposed to be awake for 2 hours during that 2nd easy, but here is my question.... Isn't she really up for 2.5 hours if she could stay awake for the suggested 1:00 nap time??  She woke at 10:30??  Confused.....seems like a long time for her age?

I don't think 1.5 hours is too long for her age. If she seems sleepy then let her nap  ;)

Seems to me she's doing fine with her routine.

The second nap is 2.5 hours inbtw.  Seems like a long time for her age?  I know you dont follow the samples by the minute per se and watch for cues, but I am new at this and trying to get the hang of it!  I think 12:30 (so 2 hours awake) would be best for her, but was wondering what others do??  We will transition to 4 hour Easy soon...

If she's still asleep then she happy and satisfied. She may be getting over a growth spurt and resting up. Make yourself some tea, curl up with a book and enjoy the long nap!  ;)

i'm sorry... I am being confusing myself.  I mean the awake time is 2.5 hours.  Not her nap.  It seems like such a long time until the next nap?
