Super proud of my little boy!! And i think i love my doctor lol
« on: September 09, 2006, 21:22:41 pm »
A few of you may recall a few weeks ago i posted that my ds Jackson never ate!! Well i went to the doctors and he was given vitamin drops and he has been taking them for 3weeks now. Tonight i made tiny pasta shapes and bolognase for his dinner thinking he wouldnt eat as usual, but guess what he ate it all!!!!!! And i mean i made too much and i just piled it on his plate for the hell of it, so he had lots more than i would expect a 4year old to eat!! Im soooooooooo happy he has made me super super proud!!!!! :D

So you think the vitamins helped?  I'm going to ask the doctor about vitamins for Lilah as she's such a picky eater I'm never sure she's getting in enough nutrition.  If it actually helps with her appetite, that would be an extra bonus!

Well done Jackson, and well done Katy for making a nice dinner.
One of my childmining kids doesn't eat well so if it was the vitamins, let me know, and I will tell her mum.
I make stew, lots of root vegetables and beef and boil it all together then add 2 stock cubes, then add some corn flour and water and when it's boiled I take the veggies and beef out and blend them then add some of the juice and hey presto 'soup' but she loves it and eats it all and even asks for more.  Try him, it's my mum's recipe and she had nine kids and she swears that no kid refuses it!!
Let me know and I will let my mum know if he likes it

I have heard from a multiple of sources including a doctor and a midwife (as well as lots of moms) that vitamins definitely help with lo's appetites so if your lo does have a poor appetite, you have absolutely nothing to lose by trying.

I would never have thought that vitamins help with the appetite. DS's pediatrician ok'd giving him vitamins, but the icky syrup kind that doesn't taste very good (cause they don't have sugar). I put it into his yogurt with a little fruit and he hasn't tasted the difference.
