long naps to short naps...

Hi there,
Ok here is the situation that I need some advise on. My 6 month old has always been a good sleeper. He goes to sleep with no problems at all. He puts himself to sleep. He would start his first nap at 9-11 and then another one from 1-3 and a cat nap around 4:30 to about 5:15 and to bed for the night around 6:30 and sleep through the night until around 7am with only the dream feed at 10:45pm. The naps are where the problem is now. He starts the morning nap around 9am but is awake about 9:30 or 9:45 then after he has his lunch at 11am by 11:30 he is so tired I put him down for a nap. This nap is about 1 hour. When he gets up at 12:30 by 2pm he is tired again and I put him down and he sleep unitl 2:45 -3pm. He eats and about 4:30 he naps again until 5-5:15. He has gone from 3 naps to 4 short naps. Is this a stage that he will grow out of? Is there a way to fix this?
Here is our schedule
7am cereal/formula 8oz
9-9:30 nap
11 veggies/formula 8oz
11:30 nap 1 hour
2-2:45 nap
3pm cereal/formula 8oz
4:30-5:15 nap
6:30 bath, book, bottle 8oz
10:45 dream feed.
Any suggestions? should I just leave it alone? It is just had to go and do anything becasue he wants a nap.
thanks
Leigh

I should also add that he is not waking up happy. He wakes up crying like crazy. I have tries the sh/pt and poping the paci back in and he is ok again until I try to leave, When he goes down for naps and at night there is no fuss at all. Not a peep.
thanks,
Leigh

if 2 hours is ok then that does not explain why you said to extend his a time when he has 2 hours of a in the morning but still only has a 30 min nap?

I have been following his sleep que's. He goes crazy until I put him to bed. He wakes up really tired and red eyes. I know he hasn't had enough sleep
