what happened kimberly?  addison still isn't eating much at all.  i have no idea what's up with these two.  i'm really wondering if it's their age.  addison is 8 months, 3 weeks but was 3 weeks early so her and your LO are pretty much the same age.

Brendan's dinner bottle was 6oz, right on track.  I think that he was drinking too much.  I had some people tell me not to switch to solids first until around 9mo or more but my doc recommended it so that is what we are going to try.  The bigger test will be tomorrow since he will get his solids first all day long.  I am going to do all three meals like that and then his bedtime bottle like normal.  I have heard that some people still do a bottle first in the morning, i'll have to see.

Is Addison drinking a bunch?  If she is, you may want to try switching the solids and liquids like I did.

we do bottle first.  She had been taking about 7 oz a bottle (4 bottles) until she got sick last week.  Now, it's only about 6 oz and her dinner bottle is only about 5 oz.

When she gets better, maybe i'll do solids first.  let me know how LO does with solids first.

Okay, time for an update.  Here is how today went.

7:15am 4oz solids
7:45am 6.5oz bottle (I was going to wait until 8am but I put it on the ground and he crawled to it     so I gave it to him.)

11:30am 3oz solids
12pm 6oz bottle

4:15pm 4oz solids (took a little bit of work)
5pm 6oz solids

7pm 7oz solids

This really seems to be working for him, having the bottle first and having it closer to the solids.

I am so glad he is eating again, though now we are back the the constipation again for some reason.  Well if it wasn't that it would be something else, just to make life interesting.

If this works for you then stick with it. Good luck ;)I am guessing you meant that the 5pm and 7pm feeds were bottles :P

I have absolutely no idea about dropping from 4 to 3 bottles.  There are some on the Jan/Feb 06 child board who have already done it so I will probably talk to them.

So Brendan's schedule today was not as great.  Two of his bottles were only about 4oz, but the other two were about 8oz so I guess it evens out.

He was consitpated the last two days but today it was diarrhea.  I realized today that all the crying at naptimes, the all day fussiness, and the yucky BM is exactly the same thing he went through 2 weeks ago when we thought he had an ear infection (which the doc said was probably and upper resp. infection) and then we thought he had a stomach bug (but by the time they did the stool culture there was nothing).  So I called the doc again and left another message.  We'll see...
