Question on dropping feeds
« on: November 03, 2006, 01:00:30 am »
Hi!  DS currently BFs 4 times a day and has 3 meals.  Each meal is about an hour and a half after each of his first 3 bfs.  My question is, are there some signs I should be watching for to tell me when to drop a bf or feed solids before the bf?  He seems fine on this at the moment, but I see alot of people with 10 month olds have dropped bfs, etc.  Thanks!

Jen

You sound great to me, jen.  I would just add more solids and I think you'll find that he'll let you know when he's done with needing more milk.

Listen to his lead.  I didn't drop to 3 feeds until 11+ months, and we are still there now.

Proud to have breastfed for a combined total of 35 months
