HELP-can't get 5 week old on e.a.s.y.
« on: November 06, 2006, 00:38:54 am »
since birth have been trying to get my new little one on EASY. i did not use this method with my first two from the beginning,  so i am a newbie!
here's whats happening.
i keep trying and trying to get him to sleep in his cot when he is sleepy, but he just cries and cries. getting a little more successful with time- but not yet.
after falling asleep in cot (finally) he will wake after a few min.
it seems all i am doing is aiding him to fall asleep with shh pat etc
no matter what i do, i check every other reason, he more days than not need to feed more like every 2 hours instead of 3.for the life of me i cannot draw the time out, not with soother or anything.
and last, often when he wakes up he is not hungry right away. he can fall asleep without nursing, he he sometimes ends up on the breast at sleep time instead of wake up time.
i just keep trying and trying and this just doesn't seem to be working. he is always waking in his cot. so e.a.s.y. seems to get ruined.
also, at night i have just started the dream feed and tried a soother last night and he will have nothing to do with it.
how can everything be so muddled, and why is he seeming so hungry?? he was not preemie 7lbs 5 oz. and i am aware of the fact that hunger is often confused with other cries, so i try to rule everything Else out.
what is going on?

thank you for your help,
melissa
