How old is your lo?

Could it be a growth spurt?

Have you tried to re-settle without a bottle?

Hi Paula, my little one is 15weeks and a big strapping boy (16 1/2lbs!!).  I have tried to resettle but when i go in he's doing that 'cough' like noise that Tracy refers to in the book and also he's excited to see me, so i assume he's associating me with food/comfort?? and goes ballistic looking for the teat like when i BF him in the early days.  He does settle straight back to sleep after he's fed. He's been doing this more on than off for a while so i'm not sure if it is a growth spurt.

Thanks, Debbie

Debbie at 15 weeks it is still quite normal for a lo to wake in the night for a feed.

At this age I would not associate it with being a habbit.

Do you clusterfeed and dreamfeed?

i do the dreamfeed and i've brought it forward to 10pm as was suggested by this forum and it is better for me.  Re the cluster feeds i have to watch Fin's cues, sometimes he will and sometimes he won't, sometimes we can get away with it at 5 & 7 and more recently he did a one off 5,7, 9 and 11!!! but slept thru the night ;D As Lauren put it he was 'well and truly tanked up!!' (I had posted a question on whether you can do cluster and Dream feeding at 7 & 9) - my lo's a fussy eater!

Clusterfeeding does not always work for all los' we could never get our DS to take more than what he wanted.

Sounds like you are doing really well.

Keep us posted on how you get on.
